According to VISA and EAST, Portugal has one of the lowest fraud levels within Europe.

SIBS’ mechanisms allow the detection of situations related to bad functioning of equipments and cards unusual activities, allowing the immediate identification and intervention in case of fraudulent use of cards or attacks to equipments.
