SIBS’ services provided to issuers include either the card’s issuing, either the processing of operations performed in different channels.  SIBS’ Issuing service includes the following processes:

• Cards’ Production: cards’ data logic processing, plastics’ personalization (optional) and PIN letters’ issuing.
• Cards’ Authentication: cards’ security elements validation and PIN insertion by the cardholder.
• Operations’ Authorization: Authorisation request routing for the issuer, or in case the connection to issuer is not possible, SIBS may decide to accept the operation’s acceptance by the Issuer’s Bank assignment.
• Clearing: detailed information about operations performed at MB system with issued cards is sent to issuers, as well as the grand totals verification.
• Settlement: SIBS assures all banks balances clearing for settlement in Banco de Portugal.
• Disputes’ handling: Clarification and adjustment of the operations performed in MB Network.
