The changes arising from the creation of the Single Euro Payments Area (SEPA) are defining new frontiers for active players in the payments market. With the official launch of SEPA in 2008, Europe as a whole is now the market reference for payments businesses, leading to changes in scale, urging organizations to be more competitive and able to work on a multinational level.

In this context, SIBS has once again been a pioneer by adapting its business strategy, internal organization and mission to address the changes that emerged from cross-border markets, with particular focus on the Spanish market, Eastern Europe and Africa.

SIBS’ know-how in the payments market and its international acknowledgement has allowed for the participation in public bids alongside with international well known players. These bids have allowed SIBS to increase its services’ offer in the international market throught SIBS INTERNATIONAL, as was the case of the management of an ATM network in Poland.

Additionally, SIBS has also dynamically contributed to the development of several initiatives through the cooperation with international entities that acknowledge and recognize SIBS’ capacities in an international context.
