MULTIBANCO Payment service, launched in 1987, allows electronic payments at the point-of-sale (merchant) with a MULTIBANCO card or cards from almost all systems brands such as American Express, MasterCard, Visa and private labels.
 
Through this network, the banking system provides its clients – private and merchants – full security, through online transactions with real time authorization and mandatory PIN for all debit transactions.
