- Never hand your card and PIN to others to make the payment for you (for example at
restaurants)
- Do not let your card out of your sight when making the transaction; make sure that the card is
used only once and on the same equipment
- Always insert your PIN covering the keypad with the other hand. Keep the transaction as private
as possible, do not allow others or surveillance cameras to observe the PIN
- After typing in the PIN and confirming the amount, do not allow the transaction to be repeated
unless the equipment displays an error message
- Be sure that you get your own card back at the end of the operation
- Always demand the transaction receipt
- If you notice anything unusual or irregular on the equipment being used, do not proceed with
the payment and report the fact to SIBS through the following numbers:
