How can I sign up for MB PHONE?

To use MB Phone, you must go to an ATM, with the card from the account you intend to associate to the service, select “other operations – Telemultibanco” indicate the cell phone number and Mobile Operator and define the personal code to access the service (telecode). If your bank is Millennium BCP and ActivoBank7, the service must be activated through their call centres.

What is the telecode?

The telecode is a safety personal code, with four digits which is asked whenever you perform any transaction through TeleMB. Telecode must be different from 0000 and different from your debit card’s PIN.

Is the service available at all Mobile Operators?

At the moment the service is provided by the following Mobile Operators: Vodafone, TMN e Optimus.

Can I associate several banking accounts to the cell phone?

Yes. You can associate a maximum of 5 accounts to your cell phone.

Can I associate several banking accounts from different Banks to the same cell phone?

Yes. Despite the bank you can associate 5 accounts per cell phone. If the card has two accounts this operation will associate both, however if the card has already 4 associated accounts, the system will only associate the card’s first account.

Does all the cell phone models allow this service?

Yes, this service does not have any hardware restrictions. However some available access channels may be not compatible will all models.  Please check your Mobile Operator’s site for more info.

Through which channels is the service available at the cell phone?

Voice (IVR), SMS, SIM Tool Kit, Wap and Java Application (this application simulates the use of MB machine through the copy of machines design and machines user experience).

These applications may be not available in all operators and cell phone models. Please check your Mobile Operator’s site for more info.

How can I get Java application?

You just have to send a sms to 12980 with “TMB” to receive a message with the link to install de application. If your cell phone is not compatible you’ll receive a message with that info.

How can I get the receipt of a transaction performed with MB PHONE?

You can get the receipt of transaction performed in the last two months by asking for a duplicate at any ATM. You must select at the screen “Consultas de Movimentos Multibanco”.

Can I use MB PHONE abroad?

MB PHONE is a 24 hour service in Portugal or at any other country with which the Mobile Operator has roaming agreements.
Using the roaming may imply extra costs, you must contact your mobile operator for more info.

Which transactions can I perform with MB PHONE?

Prepaid cell phones top-ups, payment of services, balance and account movement enquiries, BIN enquiry, cheque book request and transfers between the associated accounts.
