Do not let your card out of your sight when making a transaction; make sure that the card is used only once and in the same equipment.

Is the cardholder able to change the card's PIN?

Yes. However the card’s issuer can limit the PIN’s change in some cards and in some kind of transactions. The cardholder must read the terms and conditions to check if the PIN’s change, limits the card’s use in specific functions, namely abroad. If you intend to change the PIN you must go to an ATM, do not use perceptible sets of 4 digits ,as for example your year of birth, your birthday or any other number on the documents that are usually next to the card as for example the id and the drivers license.

Note: In the ATM you have three attempts to insert the correct code. The card will be captured by the machine if on the 3rd you make a mistake. In this case you must contact the card’s issuer.
