SIBS and MULTIBANCO network ATM present “Ser Solidário” (Being Social Solidary),
campaign, which allows MULTIBANCO users to perform banking transfers for Private Social Solidarity
Institutions in a simpler and quicker method.
The service allows, in a direct and immediate way, the contribution for causes supported by the
10 first private Social Solidarity Institutions in this project: Ajuda de Berço, AMI, Banco
Alimentar, Cruz Vermelha Portuguesa, Instituto de Apoio à Criança – IAC, Portugal Laço,
Médicos do Mundo, Operação Nariz Vermelho, Oikos and UNICEF.
For users to donate, they just have to do the following: insert the card in the ATM, insert the
PIN; select Transfers; select the service “Ser Solidário”; choose the Entity; insert
the donation’s amount; select print option (Receipt/ Invoice); confirm the operation.
The users can also request a receipt for fiscal benefit purposes. They must select
“Factura” (Invoice) and insert their taxpayer number. This document, with the
beneficiary Institution’s data, can then be delivered in the Tax Administration service.
SIBS has also developed promotion for the campaign in the ATM main screens with the claim
“Porque há boas causas, Seja Solidário”, (“Because there are good causes, Be
Solidary”).
This campaign fits the set of social responsibility actions developed within SIBS Solidária
scope project, assuming the key role that business structures must play supporting causes and
projects for a better society.
This operation is available in all the 13.500 MULTIBANCO’ ATM.
